River Island Trust (RIT) is a Zimbabwean based Community Interest entity seeking to empower and protect the girl child from early marriage and sexual abuse; reduce the prevalence of drug and alcohol abuse; promote mental health awareness; fight against stigmatization of HIV/AIDS; develop communities by fighting against poverty and unemployment; enable people to fulfill their potential by engaging and working to address community problems.
RIT engages in a variety of social support activities. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of people in Harare South and Domboshava area by providing community outreach programmes poultry, piggery and fishery through local participation and involvement. RIT also aims to provide training in the fields of motor mechanics and panel beating and spray-painting to the young people in the targeted community areas.
